I decided on one of the shops named 'WoodWood' located at unit 03-88 FarEast Plaza ! Wheeuweet. One of the reason for choosing this shop to do a write up on is because i feel that it really brings the very 'home-y' feeling and the tops that they sell in there can seldom be seen. The second reason is that my friend is one of the sales assistant there, which is why it is easier to communicate to the boss. But i think i will just share my experiences about the shop.
The very first look at the shop was abit dim from the outside, it gives the very 'we're closed, come back tmr' feel. Then we stepped in and we can feel like it's very cottage kind of shop, including the tops that they are selling. They have single sofas, those sofas that only one can sit on. Then they only put out displays, and keeps the stocks in a storeroom. i feel that keeping stocks in the storeroom is better than displaying everything, cause it will be more difficult to keep it neat and it is easier for people to flip and look around for tops. Their prices are quite affordable and guess what ! they are selling those tops that makes you look so duper innocent ! and it's like very girly type ! how lovely isn't it. :D
They do sell bags too and they all look really trendy.
Some information about the boss of Wood Wood! He is only in his twenties, young entrepreneur .baaha..
I interviewed the boss of 'WoodWood' through my friend's email.
I asked him a few questions regarding his shop, for example, Question 1: What made you want to set up this shop?
and he answered, "Because i find the retail industry in Singapore very boring and stale. For so much Shopping Centres, the shopping experience is very lousy and almost identical from shopping centre to shopping centre. Retail shops with beautiful products are few despite so many choices. I know i have a better experience and products to offer people so i set this up. "
Second question is .. ''Why did you create such ambience for the shop?'
He answered, "I had cosy and romantic in mind when i created the ambience because it is the kind of place i want to be most of the time and i want to share this feeling of cosiness and romance with people too. "
These questions are chosen out of the other many question because it goes to the point that i want to share about the shop, the wonder ambience, the cosy feeling ..
